With gay marriage in the news in California, I thought I'd post a link to a website with some clips from "60 Minutes" about extreme childhood gender non-conformity and being gay.

I'm not so sure about the relationship between how you self-identify your gender and your sexual orientation, but some of the experts 60 Minutes consulted thinks there is a correlation. Regardless of whether there is or not, here is some fascinating information on gender dysphoria and on homosexuality.

  • As a child, I secretly believed I was supposed to be a girl.
As an adolescent, I thought I was a freak; it was my opinion only inasmuch as it was internalized homophobia.
By young adulthood, I learnt there are different ways of being a man and I found a way of being that suits me.
It's a good thing. I'd have a hard time getting fitted for anything attractive at 6'3" and 300#.
